Why use Type 3 Flush?
Type 3 Flush performs just like the original Type 3, but its oval form makes it easy to be fully recessed into panels of at least 18mm thick. The narrow shape is also handy when mounting to thin battens or frames.
Made from identical materials and using the same Button as Type 3, Type 3 Flush offers the reliability and durability that sets Button-fix apart from other push-fit connectors. It also uses the same accessories – the Button Marker tool and router Multijig – as our Type 1 family of fasteners.
Where to use Type 3 Flush
Wherever you want panels to connect face-to-face with no gap and with a simple push-on engagement, Type 3 Flush is our recommended choice.
Typical uses include:
- Furniture construction
- Panelling around a window reveal
- Mounting panels at the end-of-run or in tight corners where only a push-fit connector will work

– Advice on panel loads is given with the proviso that the screws and substrate are properly matched, and all other instructions complied with. For critical applications it is essential to perform your own tests.
– The guide load for using Type 3 on ceiling panels should be applied to any panel that is not vertical and its weight acts to disengage the Button-fix.
