Ramsol Sanitiser – Simple, Sustainable Disinfection For The Long Haul
We’re not even a week into a brand new year and yet there’s a creeping sense of deja-vu. With Covid numbers skyrocketing across the country, we’re back in a strict national lockdown in a bid to protect the NHS from a new, more virulent strain of SARS-CoV-2.
The only thing making the current situation different than the first lockdown in spring 2020 is the fact that a vaccine has been developed and approved, and offers our ticket out of what has become a truly epic nightmare.
But while the vaccine is being rolled out at speed, the scale of this task is not to be underestimated. It will take many months before a vaccination programme can deliver herd immunity across the UK. Also, with the new UK strain of SARS-CoV-2 estimated to be about 70% more transmissible than its predecessor, there’s a very real danger that the situation could still get out of control.
Is your current disinfection system stepping up?
It’s more important than ever that we work together to flatten the curve of coronavirus by sticking to the rules on social distancing, and by being extra vigilant on hygiene. For organisations of all kinds, now is the time to re-evaluate Covid strategy. Is your business or organisation doing enough to eliminate risk, especially in the face of an even more virulent strain of the virus? Can you have total faith in your existing disinfection system, and is it sustainable for use in what is now clearly going to be a long haul on hygiene?
While frightening in the speed at which it can spread, the new strain of SARS-CoV-2 is just that, a new strain of the same virus. This means that Ramsol is still effective in eliminating it from all kinds of surfaces, in all types of environments.
Ramsol is a powerful antiviral and antibacterial disinfectant that uses quaternary ammonium compounds to eliminate germs fast. The formula is alcohol free, which means it’s safe to use on all surfaces, including vinyls and upholstery. Ramsol has been tested and complies with key BS EN standards including BS EN 1276 and BS EN 13697 for bactericidal performance, BS EN 14476 for virucidal performance, and BS EN 1650 for antifungal performance. Together, these approvals make Ramsol suitable for virtually any surface or environment, including food preparation areas and clinical settings.
Convenient = sustainable
Ramsol’s unique delivery system is designed to maximise convenience and practicality. Available in 500ml spray cans or 22-litre pressurised canisters, our system is 100% non-flammable and requires no power supply so it can go anywhere easily and safely. This allows you to effectively eliminate bacteria and viruses from building interiors, external environments, vehicles and more.
Furthermore, Ramsol’s optimised spray density eliminates many of the drawbacks commonly associated with other large surface disinfection systems like fogging. Delivered at 20 microns, the spray mist gives excellent coverage on all surfaces and is fine enough to get into any nooks and crannies for optimal effectiveness, but is also heavy enough to fall out of suspension quickly. Therefore, treated areas are safe to reoccupy after just ten minutes, a massive time saving compared to the hours of elimination time commonly required after fogging. Ramsol also has a pleasant scent, and won’t fade or damage surfaces.
It’s very clear that even with a vaccine being rolled out, sanitising public environments is going to be key to keeping SARS-CoV-2 at bay for a long time to come. The longer this continues, the more essential it is that organisations choose the simplest and most effective disinfection systems. This will support their personnel to keep on top of disinfection strategy without creating a massive burden of work that often leads to human error.
